We pay €300 for masterclasses/seminars (depending on context and duration)We respect every artist’s right to negotiate upwards on any fee offered.
Fees are paid within 28 working days of receipt of an invoice that can be emailed on full completion of requested work.We ensure that our initial communication with authors provides a clear outline of their expected contributions, including details of any video or audio recordings that may be made during the event.
Every engagement is formalized through a contract that clearly specifies fees, services, and timelines. We cover travel, accommodation, and sustenance costs where applicable, ensuring that authors can attend the festival without financial burden.
We ensure that writers copyright is respected, both in terms of moral and economic rights.
We believe in the importance of being open, transparent and upfront in communications with artists to ensure clarity on matters of pay and working conditions, and that sharing this information publicly is to the benefit of all writers and artists.
Much of the language in the above is borrowed from the Arts Council’s Paying the Artist policy document whose principles we align ourselves with.
