Festival Club

After a jam-packed day of Cúirt goodness, come unwind at our Festival Club in the gorgeous surrounds of the Caravan Club at Carroll’s Bar. Kicking off at 8pm from Wednesday – Saturday we’ll have a host of poetry, performance and spoken word along with banging tunes from DJs ‘til close.

On Wednesday, our host for the evening will be Scots language performance poet Harry Josephine Giles, who will present an exciting line-up of poetry and spoken word! We’ll also have a DJ set from Enda Epoch + Cormac Walsh.

Thursday evening is a REIC takeover! REIC, the popular multi-lingual poetry slam event, hosted by poet Ciara Ní É, returns to Cúirt for this special late-night event. Also featuring a DJ set from Senita Appiakorang this is sure to be a great (and late) one! 

Friday is our drag spectacular, hosted by the excellent, the inimitable non-binary drag sensation, Avoca Reaction. Joining them for a series of performances will be special guest The Dirtbird, along with DJ stylings from P Disconaut!

For a very special Saturday night event, join our five selected IWC/Cúirt Young Writer Delegates as they share creative work developed during the festival, inspired by the wide range of events and talks, and through working with writer mentor Lisa McInerney. At this showcase, our five selected IWC/Cúirt Young Writer Delegates William Keohane, Rere Ukponu, Hannah Gallagher, Luca Melis and Ella Gaynor will share some of their recently developed creative work inspired by the festival, MC’d by guest writer Megan Nolan. . The night will be rounded off with DJ excellence from Lolz.
